Now Jacob...stealing other's people music isn't ok. I have a copy of The Sun on my computer from the showcase. Please don't try to pass it off as yours.

The piece was originally written by Doug Farrell. He wrote this piece for a competition. It's definitely one of the better showcase compositions...but still...not a cool move.

Maybe for blm22 blue is a condition rather than a color.

Well, Doug Farrell or Jacob Yates, I'm not getting all that much out of these pieces... but frankly, this sort of thing is why I don't throw around pdf files... and you'd have to want to scream 'take it' to let people download your finale files. I think that's borderline insanity.

Yes, I have to agree with you. Over at the Young Composers forum, everyone DEMANDS a score!
Sure, anyone can take for free any measure they choose and make it their own.
I don't see a point in going there becasue people only want to read and not listen!

Doesn't anyone just listen anymore? lol....

Well, I used this score a lot for instrumentation ideas when I was younger. It was nice to see how he used this instruments. I think the piece is well composed (and the mp3 doesn't give it credit enough).

If what Devin says is true, then it isn't the least bit cool. How can you be trusted from this point?

btw, I do like "The Sun." It certainly doesn't push the envelope by any means, but it's a good modern symphonic piece that doesn't dull the ears.

Composition style: Romantic (non-Wagnerian), apparently with a few quirks thrown in
Influenced by: Johann Strauss II, and others
Emphasis: waltzes, marches, plus some popular music styles
