This is a very bad recording of my piece, called Upon Winter's Wake.  (It's a poem I wrote.)  The piano is out of tune, and I didn't practice but, here goes....(The second theme sucks, very bad playing on my part.)  yes, yes, that is not a fake voice, that is mine.

Excellent. Even though the piano was a bit out of tune, you made a beautiful song. I suggest adding a string orchestra with it, just as a fill. Personally it would sound great. But it sounds very nice! Good job!

Thanks, I would add a string orchestra, but this piece is part of a piece called, (Poems for Piano.)

Oh, I almost forgot, this is the poem so far,

Upon Winter's wake,

snow white drift afar,

to make a warm world quiet,

and quitely lay your hand,

upon the bundles of the earth.

Upon winter's wake,

sense of wonder,

brought out through god, tied intight with the concept of reality,

which falls under the cover,

winter has granted.

Witness the joy,

of children hundreds,

of thousands,

who play unknowingly in the prospect,

of humanities inachievement with nature,

while the watchers,

feed on the innocence created,

by the lack of knowledge,

they so willingly show.

Upon winter's wake,

waketh the joys of mankind,

but easily also,

a concept of evil,

for with Wonder,

and Joy,

comes a price.

Upon winters wake,

black ice spreads through the field,

towards the huts of all the innocent,

who haven't sinned,

nor messed with the concept,

but the ice still crawls,

every closer to the people,

as they bundle,

and await the unknown.

Upon winters wake,

Snow drift afar

This was a good song. At times it had a very Slavic sound, which I love. Also, this wasn 't really a contemporary peice as your page says; it's more neo-romantic. That doesn't matter though. The song is very pretty (despite the out-of-tune piano). Good job.

Thanks, don't listen to what the page says, I had to choose one, and at times, I'll just compose what I feel like. If you don't mind me asking, what do you think of the poem?

The poem is nice. It's structured well and you do a good job of capturing the environments and emotions of winter. Your message is very blunt however. What I mean is that maybe you should put a little more symbolism in there, more analogies. Just a thought. I've listened to the song several times, and I see how the poem fits in. And it fits in nicely. Great job.

You see, symbolism isn't the point of the poem, its actually just explaining waking up to see winter's snow.  There isn't a message, just emotion.

Then what you have is perfect. It's not Frost or Poe, but it's good enough.

Do you think you could tell me what items you used in recording your music. What microphone did you use? What recording system? That would be great!

Well, I used a typical, cheap microphane from GE.  Then, I downloaded Audacity software.  Once you have done this, (this is the complicated part,) download the LAME mp3 encoder, to turn the sound files into mp3's and put them on soundclick.  (I would recommend using an online tutorial on the lame encoder.)
